I really enjoy these. Some of these visual oxymorons are obvious while others more subtle. Either way, excellent work by Nancy Fouts. The vinyl sewing machine, balloon pear, teeth brush, and honey harmonic are my favorites.

Charles W. Cushman 1940s

These photographs are remarkable. Often times I subliminally think life looked the same as it did in the old retro photos our parents and grandparents are always showing us. These images appear as if they were taken not too long ago but in fact they are from the 1940′s. Each picture tells a story while at the same time, perfectly...

These pictures by Seth Casteel are amazing! It sort of reminds me of high speed photography because of the way the dogs face almost looks melted as it dives into the water. View more of his work at littlefriendsphoto. Here you can find a lot of really cute animal photography with their owners. You will not be dissappointed! Enjoi!

Feet First Series
posted by JJ Sereday
Back in 2005 Tom's girlfriend wanted to take a simple photo of their feet pointing out to sea. This new perspective sparked an idea to create the Feet First Series spanning over the past 6 years. Throughout their journeys they continued to capture their feet in these photos all over the world. With the recent addition of their daughter in 2011 you can see a new combination of feet at the end of the series.
Mary Kay: Landscape ...

The beauty of these photos is unbelievable. I have to say they definitely make my favorites list. Mary's ability to frame these epic shots while balancing a gentle tone with beautiful detail is incredible. Sitting behind a camera you understand your true place and significance in the grand scheme of things. A landscape is something timeless, persistent and enduring and we're mere passengers on it. Measuring your worries and anxieties against that truth you realize how small and insignificant they are. Having only been shooting since 2008, Mary Kay has quickly discovered how to portray the world the way she perceives it. You should head over to her site, read more of her artist bio, and check out the rest of her photos.

Land Art
posted by JJ Sereday
I really enjoy when someone takes everyday elements which are often over looked and taken for granted, and opens the eyes of others to see them in them from a fresh new outlook. Walter Mason adds a fun twist to many of the things in nature which have become stale to the normal eye. These land art photos show an excellent juxtaposition between the organic and inorganic.
